This Thursday (2017-05-04), Hund will be releasing a platform update. Services will continue to function throughout this release.

Issue Spanning

The foremost change will be the introduction of issue spanning: issues can be associated with multiple components which they affect.

During issue creation, you will be able to select multiple components (screenshot 1, screenshot 2). Issues which have multiple components are presented with multiple component contexts (screenshot). There will be no change in the presentation of issues which affect a single component.

With the introduction of issue spanning, we are also introducing issue notices and issue burst indicators (preview). These give your organization greater control over how issues are presented:

  • Issue notices are shown at the top of your status page when an ongoing issue spans a desired number of components (defaults to 3). In addition, notices can always be shown for issues, or they can be disabled entirely.
  • Issue burst indicators enhance issue bursts (i.e. ongoing, upcoming, and recent issues listed beneath a component) by collapsing bursts when an issue spans a desired number of components (defaults to 3) and displaying counts of issue types. Similarly to notices, issue burst indicators can always be shown, or they can be disabled entirely.

All notifications will support multiple component contexts for issues (email screenshot).

Improved Issue Management

The dashboard issues page has been redesigned to provide a better workflow when managing issues. The new issues page supports searching and filtering by component (preview).

Other Changes

Notifiers/Subscriptions
  • Notifiers can now be “curated.” A curated notifier prevents visitors from subscribing to that particular notifier, giving your organization full control over subscriptions.
  • The Slack integration now supports public subscribers (screenshot).
  • Visitors will now be presented with a subscription tooltip when clicking “subscribe” (screenshot). The standard subscription page will remain.
Improved IE Support
  • Navigation icons on issues have been fixed
  • Fonts now render properly for Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7
Miscellaneous
  • Support for multiple payer users
  • Improved tap area for component status icons
